Developed a distributed caching feature for the LMCache/LMCache repository by implementing the Elastic Instant Cache (EIC) Connector, designed to enhance performance and scalability across deployments. The work involved building new Python classes and methods for EIC connection management, data retrieval, and storage, with a strong emphasis on backend development and API integration. Comprehensive unit tests were created to ensure reliability and support future refactoring, while detailed documentation was prepared to assist with developer onboarding and integration. The feature was aligned with LMCache standards and finalized for production readiness, reflecting a methodical approach to robust, maintainable backend engineering.
