Over a three-month period, contributed to DEFRA’s epr-payment-service and epr-payment-frontend by delivering three new features focused on payment processing and user experience. Developed and enhanced APIs using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core, including an Accreditation Fee Management system and a backward-compatible Online Payment Insertion API with extended request context. Applied DTO design, dependency injection, and unit testing to ensure maintainability and reliability. On the frontend, improved the payment failure experience by introducing bilingual messaging and centralized customer support information, leveraging constants management and localization. The work emphasized code reuse, clear user guidance, and robust integration for downstream systems.
Month 2025-07: Focused on delivering a user-centric payment failure experience for the DEFRA/epr-payment-frontend, with bilingual support and clearer contact instructions. Introduced global constants for customer service contact information and refactored the display logic to present consistent guidance on the payment failure page. This work reduces support friction, improves localization, and enhances maintainability across languages and deployments.
