Worked on the ghostery-extension repository to expand the Search Engine Redirect Protection feature, adding support for Bing alongside existing Google coverage. This involved updating JavaScript-based regular expressions to accurately match Bing’s redirect URLs and adapting the content script to handle Bing’s specific redirect format. The user interface text was also refreshed to clearly communicate the broader protection scope to users. Leveraging skills in browser extension development, JavaScript, and regular expressions, the work delivered blanket redirect protection across leading search engines while maintaining performance. No bugs were fixed during this period, with the focus placed on feature development and technical adaptation.
