Worked on the terrapkg/packages repository to deliver architecture-aware Firefox UI customization through the new fx-autoconfig package. This package enables userChrome.js customization while ensuring builds are restricted to specified architectures, addressing cross-architecture build issues and improving reliability. The approach involved creating an HCL configuration file and a build specification, consolidating browser UI customization under a dedicated package for better maintainability. Utilized HCL, Rhai scripting, and Linux package building skills to implement architecture gating and streamline the build process. The work focused on enhancing usability for Firefox users and maintaining a clean, manageable codebase by removing unnecessary elements during development.
