Worked on enhancing Prometheus alerting for service health within the truefoundry/infra-charts repository, focusing on proactive incident detection and operational visibility. Developed new alert rules using YAML to monitor key service metrics, tightening memory usage thresholds to trigger earlier notifications and updating rule names for greater clarity and consistency. Incorporated feedback from pull request reviews to stabilize alert logic and reduce unnecessary alert noise, improving reliability for DevOps teams. Leveraged skills in Kubernetes, monitoring, and alerting to deliver these improvements, enabling faster response to issues and supporting data-driven operational decisions. No bug fixes were recorded during this period of focused feature development.
