Worked on the goauthentik/authentik repository to enhance the stability and correctness of the caching layer within the Application Access flow. Focused on backend development using Python, the work addressed a cache key normalization issue that previously caused double slashes in cache keys, leading to fragmented and unreliable cache lookups. By resolving this bug, the developer improved cache invalidation and reduced the risk of stale or inconsistent data in user application lists. The approach demonstrated strong debugging and problem isolation skills, ensuring more predictable application behavior and a smoother user experience through targeted improvements to the core caching logic.
