Over a two-month period, contributed targeted improvements to the rubyforgood/human-essentials and rubyforgood/stocks-in-the-future repositories, focusing on backend development and code maintainability. Addressed technical debt in human-essentials by removing an obsolete read_events feature flag from the seeder, streamlining configuration and enhancing future feature-flag governance using Ruby and database management skills. In stocks-in-the-future, delivered enhancements to the Admin Dashboard by refining data representation and simplifying admin workflows, specifically updating Portfolio and Teacher Dashboards to reduce redundancy and improve clarity. Demonstrated a methodical approach to code refactoring and UI improvement, emphasizing clear documentation and maintainable Ruby on Rails solutions.
