Worked on stabilizing polygon workflows in the dsgoficial/DsgTools repository by addressing a crash that occurred when constructing polygons from empty layers. Focused on improving the robustness of the QGIS plugin by implementing enhanced input validation and graceful handling of empty data, ensuring that the algorithm no longer fails in edge cases. Utilized Python for bug fixing and geospatial analysis, releasing version 4.17.8 to reflect these improvements. The update increased stability for automated pipelines and improved the end-user experience when working with empty-layer data, while maintaining clear traceability through well-documented commits for reproducible audits and potential rollbacks.
