In December 2024, Malkhate developed Monday-first week support for the DatePicker component in the nocodb/nocodb repository. By introducing an isMondayFirst property, Malkhate enabled the DatePicker to start weeks on Monday, addressing regional preferences and enhancing usability for international users. The implementation, completed in two commits, required careful propagation of the Monday-first logic throughout the component’s rendering process. Working primarily with Vue.js and TypeScript, Malkhate focused on front end development to improve locale-aware date handling. This feature laid the groundwork for broader internationalization support and reduced friction for users in Monday-first locales, reflecting thoughtful attention to user experience.
