During July 2025, Devan developed automated Buf Registry Release Automation for the meshtrade/api repository, focusing on streamlining API release workflows. He designed and implemented a GitHub Actions workflow written in YAML that triggers on release publication, leveraging buf-action to push new API versions directly to the Buf registry and label them with the release tag. This automation eliminated manual steps in the release process, ensuring consistent registration and versioning of APIs for consumers. Devan’s work demonstrated proficiency in CI/CD, Buf, and GitHub Actions, delivering a targeted solution that improved release reliability and reduced time-to-market for the Meshtrade API team.
