During April 2025, Meidar contributed to the starkware-libs/stwo-cairo repository by delivering a critical dependency upgrade, updating the cairo-vm component to a newer commit. This work involved modifying Cargo.toml and Cargo.lock to incorporate upstream bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features, all while ensuring full compatibility through comprehensive build and test validation. Utilizing skills in Rust, Cairo, and dependency management, Meidar’s approach reduced downstream maintenance risk and positioned the project to benefit from ongoing enhancements in the Cairo VM ecosystem. The update improved project stability and runtime characteristics, with all changes carefully documented to support future feature integration.
