Worked on the grafana/loki repository to address a critical issue in the DetectedLabelsRequest protobuf decoding logic, which previously led to internal server errors. Using Go and leveraging expertise in API and backend development, implemented a targeted fix that clarified the decoding process and improved the reliability of the Loki API. Added a regression test to ensure the bug would not reoccur, integrating this safeguard into the continuous integration workflow. The work demonstrated careful attention to code quality, with thorough review and testing practices. No new features were introduced during this period, focusing instead on stability and maintainability of the codebase.
