Worked on the NIAEFEUP/website-niaefeup-frontend repository to deliver a navigation enhancement focused on user orientation. Developed a smart navbar feature using Svelte and front end development skills, enabling dynamic current-page highlighting based on route prefixes. This approach allowed the navbar to recognize and highlight any route that starts with a shared component name, improving navigation for pages grouped under common prefixes. The solution addressed navigation friction by making it easier for users to identify their current location within the site. The work demonstrated a targeted, component-driven approach to front end usability, with all changes implemented in Svelte over a one-month period.
