During April 2025, contributed to the openfga/helm-charts repository by developing a feature that enables flexible datastore connection configuration within the OpenFGA Helm chart. This work allowed users to specify datastore credentials—such as username, password, and URI—either directly or through existing Kubernetes secrets, enhancing both security and deployment flexibility. The implementation leveraged Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML to support secret-backed credential management, reducing the risk of exposing sensitive information in plaintext. By focusing on secure configuration and environment consistency, this update streamlined deployment processes and improved operational reliability across clusters, with an emphasis on configuration management and DevOps best practices.
