Worked on improving the reliability of the HF Cache Verify tool within the huggingface/huggingface_hub repository, focusing on backend development and testing using Python. Addressed a critical issue where the verification process incorrectly reported directories as missing files by refining the logic to filter out folder entries and verify only actual files. This adjustment aligned the verification mechanism between remote and local cache checks, directly resolving inconsistencies in the cache validation workflow. The bug fix enhanced the accuracy of continuous integration feedback and reduced false positives for end users, contributing to a more dependable and efficient cache verification process.
