Worked on the microsoft/kiota-python repository to enhance reliability and test coverage for authentication flows, specifically focusing on parsing the WWW-Authenticate claim. Developed a robust parsing mechanism by refining base64 decoding and regular expression logic, which improved the extraction of claims from authentication headers. Adjusted and expanded the test suite using pytest to ensure the new parsing behavior was accurately validated and maintained CI stability. This work addressed a key issue affecting authentication robustness, reducing runtime errors for Kiota Python consumers. Demonstrated skills in Python, backend development, API integration, and test-driven development while maintaining a focus on code quality and maintainability.
