Worked on enhancing certificate and TLS management for the traefik/traefik-helm-chart and traefik/traefik repositories over a two-month period. Developed a feature allowing Traefik Hub admission controller TLS to be sourced from existing Kubernetes Secrets, improving certificate management flexibility and aligning with customer secret-management workflows. In traefik/traefik, implemented backend TLS configuration customization, enabling users to specify custom cipher suites and TLS version constraints for backend communications. Focused on security hardening and reducing configuration drift, the work demonstrated proficiency in Go, Helm, and Kubernetes, with careful integration of changes to support secure, maintainable, and interoperable deployment environments without introducing new bugs.
