
Worked on the datametica/calcite repository to expand cross-dialect SQL function support, enabling broader compatibility across Redshift, Vertica, BigQuery, Spark, Databricks, and Teradata. Developed and integrated new SQL functions such as NVL, CONVERT, TRUNC, INET_ATON, and various DATEDIFF and JSON operations, updating dialects, parsers, and library operators to ensure consistent behavior. Leveraged Java and SQL dialect handling expertise to enhance parser reliability and unit test coverage, reducing integration risks for multi-dialect workloads. This work strengthened Calcite’s role as a unified SQL layer, streamlining analytics integration and accelerating onboarding for customers using diverse data platforms.
