During the month, contributed to the skbkontur/retail-ui repository by addressing a nuanced issue in the Select component’s placeholder rendering. Focused on front-end development using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, the work involved ensuring that when an empty string is explicitly passed as a placeholder, it renders correctly as an empty placeholder rather than causing confusing UI states. This fix was implemented with a targeted commit and reinforced by adding regression tests to cover this edge case. The solution improved UI consistency, reduced potential user confusion, and helped lower support requests related to placeholder behavior in the component library.
