Lavliet focused on backend development and workflow orchestration, contributing to the temporalio/samples-python repository. During May 2025, Lavliet addressed a critical reliability issue in the Periodic Polling Sample by fixing a bug that previously caused workflow failures after repeated polling attempts. Using Python, Lavliet ensured that unhandled exceptions were properly surfaced rather than silently ignored, which improved the sample’s robustness and reliability. The technical approach involved modifying the workflow’s continuation logic to prevent failures and reduce downtime in sample-based workflows. This work demonstrated a strong understanding of workflow orchestration and contributed to more dependable sample behavior for end users.
