Worked on the jdx/usage repository to enhance cross-shell scripting capabilities by generalizing the shell command, enabling support for bash, zsh, and fish. Refactored the existing bash command into a reusable ShellCommand abstraction, allowing scripts to be executed flexibly across different shells and reducing the need for context switching among developers. Added new subcommands for fish and zsh, and updated documentation with usage examples to streamline onboarding and support. Utilized Rust and TypeScript for CLI development and documentation improvements, focusing on maintainability and productivity. The work improved scripting flexibility and reduced maintenance overhead for cross-team workflows within the project.
