During June 2025, Miika Alikirri automated testing for opensuse-tumbleweed in the cockpit-podman component within the cockpit-project/bots repository. By migrating the testmap entry from manual to automatic testing, Miika enhanced the reliability and coverage of CI validation for podman integration. This work reduced manual testing effort and aligned with the team’s automation objectives. Leveraging Python and skills in CI/CD and testing automation, Miika streamlined the repository’s workflow, enabling more consistent and maintainable test processes. The depth of the contribution lies in improving automated validation, which supports ongoing development and reduces maintenance overhead for the project’s testing infrastructure.
