Worked on enhancing the reliability of virtual machine provisioning in the rancher/dartboard repository by addressing stability issues in Harvester-based VM deployments. Focused on infrastructure as code practices using Terraform and HCL, the work involved implementing a creation timeout to prevent stalled VM provisioning and explicitly disabling IPv6 to ensure consistent network compatibility across environments. Additionally, corrected the handling of image namespaces for auto-downloaded images, reducing the risk of provisioning failures. These targeted improvements strengthened the robustness of cloud infrastructure workflows, emphasizing maintainability and operational feedback while leveraging skills in virtualization, YAML configuration, and cloud-native automation tools throughout the process.
