During May 2025, OpenSource.Edge.for.IBM.Tool.1@ibm.com developed an automated CI and build workflow for the Msgspec package in the ppc64le/build-scripts repository. Leveraging Python and Shell scripting, they created a build script and Build_info.json to standardize environment setup, automate dependency installation, and streamline test execution using tox, pytest, and nox. This approach reduced manual intervention, improved reproducibility, and accelerated validation of changes on ppc64le running UBI 9.3. By including the Apache 2.0 license, they ensured open source compliance. The work demonstrated depth in build automation, CI/CD, and package management, addressing reproducibility and compliance challenges.
