Priyank Sevak developed dark mode theme support for the github/forgoodfirstissue repository, focusing on scalable and accessible front-end improvements. He implemented a ThemeContext and ThemeToggleButton in React, integrating Primer’s ThemeProvider to ensure consistent color-mode handling throughout the application. Using TypeScript and SCSS, Priyank customized react-select components and refactored the Map structure to leverage the new theming context, which streamlined future theme changes. He also updated the header UI and applied comprehensive UI refinements, resulting in a consistent appearance across light and dark modes. This work laid a strong foundation for future theming features and improved user experience.
