Worked on Aryakoste/mattermost to resolve a bug affecting profile picture orientation caused by incorrect handling of EXIF metadata. Addressed this issue by implementing robust image processing logic in Go, ensuring that user profile visuals render correctly across devices regardless of EXIF orientation tags. Enhanced the reliability of the solution by introducing regression tests and new test assets, validating the fix against multiple EXIF scenarios. Collaborated with other contributors to maintain clean imports and improve code quality. Focused on backend development and testing, the work reduced support issues and improved user experience by delivering consistent, accurate profile image rendering.
