Developed a clone feature for the distrobox-assemble tool, enabling users to create new containers by cloning a stopped source container and thereby streamlining environment replication and experimentation. The implementation introduced a configuration variable to control clone behavior and integrated the new workflow directly into the command execution path within the 89luca89/distrobox repository. Work included comprehensive documentation and example usage to support adoption. The project relied on Shell scripting and Command Line Interface (CLI) development skills, focusing on expanding the tool’s capabilities for container management. No bug fixes were recorded during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery and usability.
