During November 2024, contributed to the micronaut-core repository by implementing support for Office Document Formats within the MediaType component. This work involved designing new constants and mappings in Java to enable recognition and handling of common Microsoft and OpenDocument file types, such as doc, docx, odt, ods, ppt, pptx, and odp. The approach emphasized API development and media type handling, with updates to the test suite to ensure accurate validation of the new formats. These enhancements improved interoperability and reliability for document processing workflows, supporting smoother integration across diverse office file types within the Micronaut framework.
