Worked on the getyourguide/istio-config-validator repository, focusing on dependency management and stability improvements using Go and Go Modules. Delivered a targeted upgrade of the golang.org/x/net library to enhance security and maintain reproducible builds, updating module metadata and checksums to ensure reliability. Addressed a critical bug by reverting a problematic go-control-plane upgrade and applying minor patches to spf13/pflag and Kubernetes libraries, restoring system stability and compatibility. Maintained continuous integration health and reduced mean time to recovery for dependency-related issues, enabling ongoing feature development. Demonstrated disciplined dependency hygiene and proactive risk mitigation throughout the two-month contribution period.
