During December 2024, work centered on modernizing the CI/CD pipeline for the govuk-one-login/mobile-android-one-login-app repository. The primary focus was upgrading the GitHub Actions runner environment to Ubuntu 22.04, addressing the need for improved build stability and alignment with current tooling. This update, implemented using YAML and leveraging CI/CD best practices, enhanced the reproducibility and reliability of Android release builds by standardizing the runner environment. No major bugs were reported during this period, and the upgrade contributed to reducing environment drift and build failures, ensuring the release pipeline remained efficient, secure, and ready for ongoing development and deployment needs.
