In December 2024, CKMH enhanced operational visibility for the juewuy/ShellCrash repository by developing a feature that integrates SynoChat push notifications into the shell scripting workflow. Using Bash and REST API integration, CKMH added a new menu option and configuration to enable automated log and status updates to Synology Chat channels, streamlining incident response and reducing manual monitoring. The implementation involved modifying scripts/menu.sh and scripts/start.sh, as well as cleaning up deprecated artifacts. This work demonstrated practical DevOps and system administration skills, delivering an end-to-end solution that improved alerting, cross-team collaboration, and reliability for ShellCrash users.
