Quentin Bertrand enhanced deployment flexibility for enterprise Kubernetes environments by adding override repository support to the aws/amazon-vpc-cni-k8s Helm chart. He implemented an overrideRepository option, enabling users to specify custom ECR or private registry images for CNI, init, and node agent components. Using Helm and YAML, Quentin updated both the Helm template helpers and the project’s documentation to ensure image paths are constructed correctly when an override is provided. This work addressed the needs of organizations operating in air-gapped or private environments, improving security and ease of adoption. The feature demonstrated thoughtful integration with existing cloud infrastructure workflows.
