Worked on the Real-Dev-Squad/website-backend repository to enhance the integrity and privacy of user profile data. Focused on backend development using Node.js and JavaScript, the work introduced a safer flow for retrieving and updating profile differences, including unobfuscated contact detail handling and improved data merge logic. Refactored error handling to provide clearer diagnostics and implemented a development feature flag to support safer testing environments. Database management practices were strengthened by refining id-field processing, ensuring more reliable profile merges. The changes collectively improved data privacy, reliability, and diagnosability, laying a foundation for safer and more maintainable backend operations within the project.
