Developed a new netboot capability for the kairos-io/AuroraBoot repository, focusing on CLI development using Go and netboot technologies. Delivered the start-pixie command, which launches a Pixiecore netboot server to serve custom PXE boot files and cloud-config, addressing the need for flexible network booting in cloud environments. The implementation included robust argument parsing for boot parameters with basic validation to ensure reliability. A dedicated unit test was added to verify the command’s functionality, supporting maintainable code quality. No major user-facing bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature delivery and foundational quality improvements.
