Worked on stabilizing the macOS installer for the BOINC/boinc repository, focusing on improving reliability during fresh installations. Addressed a bug where the installer would encounter errors if the home directory did not exist by adding an access check before running chflags, and corrected path handling from DSCL to the filesystem. Enhanced the PostInstall retry logic to ensure failures in security setup are properly reported, making install problems more visible for diagnostics. Utilized C++ programming, installer scripting, and macOS development skills to deliver deterministic install behavior, resulting in a higher success rate and improved support for onboarding and data collection.
