Rider developed an Ownership Transfer Notification feature for the secondlife/viewer repository, focusing on backend and C++ development. The feature surfaces clear, user-facing notifications whenever object ownership changes, directly addressing Server Issue #1493 and improving transparency for collaborators. Rider integrated the new notification seamlessly with the existing framework, ensuring consistent user experience and backward compatibility. The implementation was managed through a single, traceable commit, reflecting careful change management and attention to UX detail. Although the work spanned one month and involved no bug fixes, it demonstrated depth in backend architecture and C++ proficiency, resulting in a targeted solution to workflow confusion.
