Worked on the Rainbow Roundup Calendar Event App, delivering foundational backend authentication features and addressing a key data integrity issue. Implemented initial authentication scaffolding using TypeScript and Prisma, establishing secure sign-in flows and preparing the system for production-ready user management. Addressed a bug by normalizing incoming email addresses to lowercase before user creation, preventing duplicate accounts and login inconsistencies caused by case sensitivity. These contributions laid the groundwork for robust authentication and smoother onboarding experiences. The work focused on backend development and authentication, ensuring the repository is well-positioned for future enhancements such as password reset and session management features.
