Worked on the tudat-team/tudatpy repository to deliver a streamlined Mars DTM API, focusing on simplifying the interface and improving stability. The approach involved removing the polar_radius argument and shifting the mars_dtm_file parameter to internal handling, which reduced the API surface and minimized configuration errors for users. Updated an external submodule to ensure compatibility with these changes, aligning dependencies for better reliability. The work was implemented using C++, Python, and Git, with attention to bindings and commit traceability. These improvements enhanced maintainability and reduced integration issues, reflecting a methodical approach to dependency management and API design within the project.
