During June 2025, Darcy Lu enhanced project governance for the nxp-upstream/zephyr repository by formalizing maintainer assignment for the Realtek fingerprint SoC integration. Darcy updated the maintainers.yml file using YAML, applying configuration management and maintainer management skills to clarify ownership and streamline support for this component. By assigning a dedicated maintainer, Darcy reduced maintenance risk and improved accountability, enabling faster response to future issues and change requests. This work improved documentation and reduced cross-team coordination overhead, ensuring ongoing support for Realtek fingerprint features in Zephyr. The contribution focused on maintainability and process clarity rather than direct feature or bug development.
