Worked on improving CSV import reliability in the ankitects/anki repository by addressing an issue with tags column identification. Refactored the tags-detection logic to ensure the first unmapped column is consistently assigned as the tags column, reducing the risk of edge-case regressions. Expanded test coverage to validate CSV metadata mapping and prevent future issues, focusing on maintainability and robustness. Utilized Rust for backend development, leveraging skills in CSV parsing and data import/export. The work emphasized careful code restructuring and comprehensive testing rather than new feature development, resulting in a more reliable and maintainable CSV import process for the project.
