Over a three-month period, contributed to the bcgov/ecc-ofm and bcgov/EDUC-CCOF repositories by building and stabilizing automated testing frameworks and enhancing test management integration. Developed a comprehensive smoke testing framework with Zephyr for Jira Cloud integration, improving feedback loops and release confidence through automated reporting and traceability. Leveraged Java, Selenium, and TestNG to deliver custom test reporters, robust CI/CD pipelines, and detailed test artifact publishing. In the EDUC-CCOF repository, improved automation framework stability, expanded closure management automation, and refactored page objects for maintainability, resulting in more reliable UI automation, broader test coverage, and faster validation cycles across multiple application features.
March 2026 (bcgov/EDUC-CCOF): Stabilized the automation framework while delivering major closure automation and multi-facility capabilities. Improvements reduced flaky tests, streamlined closure adjudication flows, and enhanced UI navigation reliability, enabling faster validation and broader coverage. Key features delivered include Closure Management Enhancements, Organization Page Navigation with a robust BCEID-based workflow, and support for Multiple Facilities in Group Applications. Major bugs fixed focused on automation framework stability (imports, working directory, SSL handling) and test reliability. Overall impact: more reliable UI automation, expanded test coverage for closures, and faster validation cycles. Technologies/skills demonstrated: Selenium-based UI automation, page-object model refactors, data-driven tests, and test infrastructure improvements.
