Worked on the cssgunc/beautiful-together-next repository to enhance the reliability and user experience of pet image rendering. Addressed a bug affecting image URL sizing by implementing logic in Python to append size-specific suffixes, such as -300x300 or -200x200, to image URLs for cats and dogs. When sized images were unavailable, the solution provided a robust fallback to the original URL, ensuring images consistently displayed across the application. This approach reduced broken-image occurrences in production and stabilized the visual presentation for users. The work leveraged Python and web scraping skills, focusing on codebase stability and user-facing reliability throughout April 2025.
