Implemented a feature that assigns a default ARIA role of 'img' when an aria-label is present, ensuring better alignment with accessibility standards. The approach involved minimal code changes in React using TypeScript and JavaScript, prioritizing maintainability and usability. Added comprehensive test coverage to validate the new accessibility behavior and updated documentation to reflect these changes. The work demonstrated attention to detail in front end development, with a clear emphasis on accessibility best practices and robust documentation.
