
Over a two-month period, contributed to the cavadorii/tree repository by building customer-facing features and improving backend workflows. Developed an image-based tree prediction system using Node.js, Express.js, and TensorFlow.js, integrating an image processing pipeline for sapling detection and result storage. Implemented a user event registration system with CRUD endpoints and enhanced tree photo handling to support registrations. Automated volunteer certificate generation based on event participation, refactored certificate and leaderboard modules for maintainability, and improved association profile retrieval. Maintained dependencies by upgrading Axios and removing unused packages, focusing on stability, security, and scalable data management without addressing bug fixes during this period.
January 2025: Delivered a feature set in cavadorii/tree that automates Volunteer Certificate Generation based on event participation, enhances retrieval of association profiles, and refactors certificate and leaderboard modules for better organization and scalability. Added new routes for association profiles to improve tracking and recognition of volunteer contributions. This work reduces manual certificate processes, improves stakeholder reporting, and strengthens the end-to-end volunteer credentialing workflow.
