Sreeram Srinivasan enhanced accessibility in the insightsengineering/cards repository by implementing an ARIA label for the Home icon, improving usability for screen reader users and aligning with inclusive design standards. Using front end development skills and working with YAML, Sreeram delivered a focused change that allows assistive technologies to accurately announce the Home control. The update was made with a minimal, isolated diff, reducing risk and simplifying future maintenance. This work addressed a specific accessibility gap, supported the team’s accessibility roadmap, and prepared the codebase for broader adoption of WCAG ARIA practices, demonstrating careful attention to user experience and technical detail.
