The work introduced a main Dockerfile for production builds, a separate Dockerfile-CI tailored for continuous integration environments, and a .dockerignore file to optimize build context and efficiency. Leveraging skills in CI/CD, DevOps, and Docker, the developer enabled reproducible deployments across development, staging, and production environments, reducing environmental drift. By separating CI and application images, the changes improved build times and simplified maintenance, while the containerized workflow enhanced developer onboarding and ensured consistent, automated deployment processes throughout the project lifecycle.
