During April 2025, Kai worked on the dbeaver/dbeaver repository, focusing on expanding support for Dameng database constraints. He implemented primary key, unique key, and check constraint handling in Java, introducing Dameng-specific metadata processing to ensure accurate display and interaction within the DBeaver interface. Kai also updated localization files in multiple languages, improving internationalization and ensuring a consistent user experience across deployments. His work enabled in-application management of Dameng constraints, enhancing data integrity workflows and broadening DBeaver’s database compatibility. The project demonstrated depth in database development and internationalization, with all changes linked to traceable commits for reproducibility and maintainability.
