Worked on enhancing the Crypto Module in the microsoft/BCApps repository by implementing support for PKCS#12 certificate creation, enabling automated bundling of certificates with private keys. Leveraged backend development skills and expertise in certificate management and cryptography to add a .NET wrapper that exposes X509Certificate2.CreateFromPem, streamlining certificate provisioning from PEM inputs. Introduced new functions to X509Certificate2 and RSA codeunits to facilitate PKCS#12 handling and private-key encapsulation. These changes improved security and interoperability by reducing manual steps and minimizing human error in certificate workflows. The work was completed using AL and .NET technologies, focusing on robust, maintainable backend solutions.
