Worked on enhancing accessibility in the Aryakoste/mattermost repository by improving the Team UI for screen reader users. The main feature delivered involved adding ARIA labels to the Create Team button and other team-related controls, making navigation and interaction more intuitive for users with disabilities. This update was implemented using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, focusing on front end development best practices. The changes were carefully scoped to UI labels, ensuring no impact on business logic or core team management flows. The work supported accessibility compliance, improved inclusivity, and maintained strong traceability through a single, well-documented commit and issue reference.
