Worked on the cloudflare/ai repository to expand the AI Gateway’s capabilities by integrating Azure OpenAI support. Refactored the gateway’s endpoint handling to be provider-agnostic, enabling seamless support for multiple AI providers within a unified interface. Focused on robust API integration and full stack development using TypeScript, ensuring that the new architecture could accommodate future providers with minimal changes. Developed comprehensive tests to verify correct endpoint parsing across different providers, improving reliability and reducing the risk of regressions. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary emphasis was on feature expansion and strengthening test coverage for maintainability.
